Our story begins in 2015, when our founders Kalle and Rene wondered why no one was selling hourly-priced spot electricity, which already then was the cheapest of all contract types. While many people saw the possible savings they could make by keeping track of the changes in the spot prices, they soon fell tired of keeping up with the constantly changing electricity prices and wanted someone to do it for them. Thus, the idea for the Smart Energy app, Älyenergia, was born.
