The electricity sold by Vihreä Älyenergia is currently produced using nuclear and wind power. Since these are completely carbon-free production methods, Vihreä Älyenergia’s emission factor is naturally zero (0), meaning that no carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions are generated from the electricity we sell.
Fingrid calculates the real-time emission estimate for the Finnish electricity system based on real-time production and import/export data from its control system, as well as assigned emission factors. Vihreä Älyenergia’s electricity production is based 99% on nuclear power and 1% on wind power. We are also introducing electricity products that primarily use wind power.
